It was great to photograph Matt and Gina's destination wedding at Vrede en Lust. They are from the UK and definitely chose one of the best wedding venues in the Western Cape. This was a wedding where timing played such an important role in the success of the day. It was a cool and rainy day, with clouds threatening to burst. It started to rain as their guests threw the confetti and I had to make a few critical decisions about the order of events.
We decided to skip the time with guests during canapes and the family portrait session and started with the couple photo session immediately. It was raining on and off during the photo session, but we managed to to finish our session just in time before the heavens opened up. The decision to change the order of events was the right one :-) I was so glad that 12 years of experience helped me to make the right decision in a split second. I just want to thank Matt and Gina for trusting me on their wedding day. It was great to work with Sam from I Do Box wedding coordination for the first time and looking forward to our next wedding.
